Sandra Hernandez is the Project Specialist for the Programa Esperanza (Project Hope) project. Ms. Hernandez earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services from California State University, Fullerton.
Her previous professional experience involves development and implementation of programs, program evaluation and facilitating groups such as: parenting classes, organizational groups, staff trainings, strategic planning, and mental health teams. She has a myriad of experience working with youth, domestic violence victims, families and communities. Prior to joining the USC Roybal Institute, Ms. Hernandez served as a Facilitator for St. Anne’s where she coordinated a mental health team, served as the wellness coordinator for Community Coalition’s youth programs and was a clinical intern for the Human Services Association. In the future, she hopes to continue working with various populations within MACRO and clinical social work.
