Juyoung Park was honored with the 2024 Korean American Social Work Educators Association (KASWEA) Dissertation Proposal Award and selected as a 2024 GSA Diversity Mentoring and Career Development Fellow. These prestigious awards celebrate innovative research addressing critical social work challenges and support the professional development of early career scholars from underrepresented backgrounds. Juyoung’s dissertation, which explores the mental health impacts of financial mistreatment among older Americans, was recognized for its potential to advance knowledge, inform practice, and promote equity in gerontology and social work. These honors highlight her commitment to impactful scholarship that uplifts vulnerable populations and strengthens the field of aging research. They inspire her to continue striving for innovation and excellence in both research and practice. Juyoung’s doctoral program advisor is Yuri Jang, PhD, Senior Scientist at the USC Roybal Institute on Aging, and Professor of Social Work at the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work.
