MarĂ­a P. Aranda, professor and executive director of the USC Edward R. Roybal Institute on Aging, has been selected to receive the 2022 James Jackson Outstanding Mentorship Award by the Gerontological Society of America. This honor is presented in recognition of outstanding commitment and dedication to mentoring minority researchers in the field of aging. Professor Aranda will receive the award at the Annual Scientific Meeting of the Gerontological Society of America in November. She will also be honored at the Minority Issues in Gerontology Award Reception.
