Iris Chi, the Chinese-American Golden Age Association/Frances Wu Chair for the Chinese Elderly at the USC School of Social Work and the associate director of global health research at the USC Edward R. Roybal Institute on Aging, was one of the speakers at the 2015 USC Global Conference in Shanghai, China. Chi presented on a panel titled “Big Data in Health and Social Welfare: What Works in China.” Other presenters included Marilyn Flynn, dean of the USC School of Social Work, Haluk Soydan, senior fellow for global research impact and research professor, and Youping Li, director of the Chinese Cochrane Centre.
The conference was held from Oct. 29-31, 2015, and featured presentations and discussions with USC researchers, Chinese business leaders, and other global executives and academics.
