Faculty Associate Benjamin F. Henwood in a recent article examined the prevalence of falls in permanent supportive housing (PSH) in Los Angeles County. The permanent supportive housing method has been used to test its effects on the well-being of aging adults. Individual risk factors were observed to determine whether extra help such as fall prevention is necessary in PSH. Adults aged 45-80 years old were monitored in frailty and the amount of self-reported falls that occurred in those who have experienced chronic homelessness in their lives.
