Karen Lincoln, an associate professor at the USC School of Social Work and a senior scientist at the USC Edward R. Roybal Institute on Aging, has been appointed to the California Task Force on Family Caregiving.
The California Task Force on Family Caregiving examines issues relative to the challenges faced by family caregivers and opportunities to improve caregiver support; review the current network, services and supports available to caregivers; and make policy recommendations to the California State Legislature. The task force is authorized to act until July 31, 2018.
Lincoln has participated in discussions about statewide aging policy issues before. She was one of the experts who contributed to a 2014 California State Senate Select Committee on Aging and Long-Term Care Care report titled “A Shattered System: Reforming Long-Term Care in California Envisioning and Implementing an Ideal Long-Term Care System in California.”
