Karen D. LincolnKaren Lincoln, the associate director of the USC Roybal Institute, is the co-author of one of the most highly cited articles in the field of social work in the past decade, according to the British Journal of Social Work. The journal recently published their rankings of the 100 most highly cited articles in disciplinary social work journals from 2000 to 2009.

Lincoln is the co-author of the 25th most cited article, which was published in Social Work and titled, “Mental Health Services in Faith Communities: The Role of Clergy in Black Churches.”

Over two-thirds of the most influential articles appear in just four journals: Social Work, Social Service Review, Research on Social Work Practice, and the British Journal of Social Work. The British Journal of Social Work features more highly cited articles than any other journal, including the most influential article in the rankings.
