Dr. Settersten’s research has long focused on the first and last few decades of adulthood, always with an eye toward understanding the whole life course. In this presentation, he shared some lessons he’s learned in studying young adulthood—lessons in experience, identity, and inequality—and what they mean for aging in the United States.
